About This Game
Tic-Tac-Toe is a local two-player board game played on a 3 by 3 grid. Player X goes first, then X and O alternate turns until one player completes a line or the board fills. The page detects wins and draws automatically and saves totals for X wins, O wins, and draws in this browser. It is best for quick shared play on the same device.
How to Play
- Player X selects an empty cell to start.
- Player O selects an empty cell next.
- Continue alternating turns.
- Complete three marks in a row, column, or diagonal to win.
- Press New Game to clear the board for another round.
Rules
- Only empty cells can be selected.
- Moves are blocked after a win or draw.
- A draw occurs when the board is full and no player has a winning line.
- X wins, O wins, and draws are saved locally in this browser.
Tips
- Control the center when possible because it connects to the most lines.
- Block an opponent's immediate winning line before setting up your own slower plan.
- Corners are usually stronger than side cells early in the game.
- Look for moves that create two threats at once.
